February is for the girls. ˚₊❥

What the heck is up, Feb?

Thank you for coming to the first Monthly Laps, I’m so excited you are here! 🏁

The internet always chats about how the first few months of the year seem to pass by slowly. I LOVE IT. It gives me enough time to reset, recharge, and outline what I really want to accomplish this year. By now, you probably have a good idea of how you want this year to look. If you don’t, now is the perfect chance to start.

I hope you use today to reflect, plan or execute. Ideas are easy; it’s the doing that’s the hard part! Maybe you use these two hours to work on that zine you’ve been thinking about (cough, cough me), or maybe you schedule that trip you’ve been dreaming of. It can be as small or as large as you want it to be; you’ve just got to start somewhere.

In an effort to make sure everyone feels supported, I’ve added some stimuli below! Thought starters, recent musings, and things that have worked for me in the past. Grab a coffee, hot chocolate, mimosa (whatever keeps you motivated) and let’s 👏🏻 get 👏🏻 sh*t 👏🏻 done!

Journal Prompts - If that’s your thing

I tried this last year…

Last year (for a few months), I made a phone background of mini goals that ladder up to my yearly goals. I only did it twice, cause it does take a good amount of time and effort, but I will say that it was EXTREMELY helpful. It’s also where I got the inspiration for monthly laps! We look at our phone all day erryday so seeing it daily was a good reminder. I kept it at about 6-7 goals and made sure to add some silly/fun to keep it light & fresh! I made some templates for you all. <3333

Monthly Laps Punch Cards

I took a risograph printing workshop last week and made some fun punch cards! If you would like one, send me a pic of what you worked on today and I’ll make sure one gets to you. Gold star stickers included ;) I was thinking each month we lap gets a star. So you don’t put a star on feb until you complete feb. Also, during class I learned that riso ink never really dries so handle with caution.

PS this is a photo of the sheet printed in full.
They are cut and folded to be little cards.

Finally, thanks again for being here. I love creating stuff like this and I’m excited to see how it evolves over the year. It was on my goal list to host 12 of these this year so hold me to it!!!!
